Strangely Familiar, an art challenge for February

Strangely Familiar

I’ve decided to set myself a challenge for February to encourage me to make a piece of art for every day of the month of which there will be 29 this year!

The theme is Familiar faces painted in my usual crooked and colourful style interpreting characters that I find interesting; musicians, actors, artists, people from history, well known women and men. 

The challenge will help me to improve my skills at capturing the likeness of the person but not changing my style in any way. 

For each day of the month of February I will post my ‘Strangely Familiar’ painting of the day on Instagram, Facebook and will also put the piece into my website shop https://www.artistkarenhickey.com/shop/strangely-familiar where it will be available to purchase. There will be varying sizes but prices will be special as it’s of benefit to me in producing, practicing and completing this creative challenge.
